Immerse yourself in the pristine beauty of Montserrat, a famous nature reserve with striking rock formations home to an ancient monastery. I’ll guide you through the history and art of this peaceful shrine. We’ll experience the quiet atmosphere of the Basilica and visit La Moreneta, the famous Black Madonna and beloved patron saint of Catalonia.

Atto II

⟡ The Escolania Boys’ Choir

We’ll share a memorable moment attending Mass and listening to the Escolania, one of Europe’s oldest boys’ choirs (subject to monastery schedule and availability). After a quiet stop at the Virgin’s chapel, I highly recommend visiting the Montserrat Museum—one of the finest, most impressive art collections in Spain. Alternatively, you can recharge on scenic walking paths, like the gentle hike to St. Michael’s Cross.

You’ll have time to shop at the religious art store or browse the outdoor farmers’ market, sampling local cheeses and honey. For those looking for a complete spiritual getaway, overnight stays in the monastery’s historic guest rooms can also be arranged.
