What It’s All About
At the turn of the 20th century, Barcelona went through a major cultural explosion. Two parallel worlds thrived under the same sky: the rebellious, bohemian young artists on one side, and the wealthy industrial families building magnificent monuments on the other. This private tour takes you right into the heart of this fascinating contrast.

The tour
Atto I
⟡ Barcelona’s Transformation
At the end of the 1800s, the city grew at incredible speed, turning into a dynamic open-air laboratory. Architects, painters, musicians, and thinkers started dreaming up a brand-new cultural identity for Catalonia. Walking through historic streets, we’ll spot the exact places where this transformation changed the face and energy of Barcelona forever.
Atto II
⟡ Two Contrasting Worlds
On one side were young artists meeting in old-town cafes and studios. Among them was young Pablo Picasso, who spent crucial formative years in Barcelona surrounded by absolute creative freedom. On the other side was high society, funding modern art by building great cultural institutions. In this environment, music and art were essential pillars of local pride and identity.
Atto III
⟡ Gems of La Ribera (Picasso Museum & The Palau)
Walking through the charming streets of La Ribera, we’ll visit the favorite spots of historic artists. We’ll tour the Picasso Museum—a unique gallery created by the artist himself—where you’ll see an extensive collection tracing his journey from youth to mastery, with a clear, easy-to-follow explanation of how Cubism was born. We’ll end our tour at Domènech i Montaner’s Palau de la Música Catalana: a stunning concert hall where stained glass forms entire walls, turning the main auditorium into a natural garden of light and music.
